Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a college counsellor?

That very much depends on what support you have at your school and where you wish to apply. An independent college counselor can be a wise investment, especially if they can help you obtain scholarships.

When is the best time to start?

Many students begin to consider university when in Grade 11 (or Year 12), while others begin in Grade 8! The earlier you start the more prepared you will be and the better position you will be in.

What if I don't know what I want to study?

That’s OK, many students don’t know, and many colleges and universities, especially in the USA and Canada, don’t require that you know when you start. Through working with Campus Admissions you will come to a better understanding of what you might want to study.

Should I take the SAT?

Although the SAT is common for many colleges in the US, more and more institutions do not require it for international students, especially at the moment due to the effects of Covid-19. For more information you can check www.fairtest.org

Can you get me into Harvard or Oxford?

We can help to maximise your chances of getting into the best institutions around the world, but no company can guarantee admission - avoid any business which claims to be able to do so. Furthermore, there are thousands of universities in the USA alone, so you need to broaden your awareness of the options, something you will when working with Campus Admissions.

How can I get a scholarship?

At Campus Admissions we have years of successful experience guiding students through the process of scholarship applications, and we can help you too. Please see our Testimonials from students who have obtained 'full-ride' scholarships to prestigious universities in the USA and Canada.

Will you write my essays?

We will provide you with support and guidance and teach you how to become a better writer, but we will not write your essays for you.

Do you have knowledge of the IB?

Yes, we have many years of experience with the IB, as teachers, examiners and researchers.
